I removed my old Graphic Card (ATI All-In-Wonder X800-XT) and chenged BIOS settings of "VGA priority" from AGP/PCI to PCI/AGP, and enabled "Assign IRQ to PCI VGA". After I inserted the Zotac card into a PCI slot, I try to start the PC but... the Monitor go down in standby!
I tried all other PCI slots, same results, no signal on the screen!
Any idea ?
I suspect the card need further power, but I don't see any connector on the card to connect at the power supply... and it's strange that this card need only the power from PCI slot, I think it need additional power....maybe?
I wait....
The Zotac card can get sufficient power from the PCI bus.
However, I needed a stronger power supply when I added this card.
Offhand your 620 watt PS seems OK but it depends on the whole load of the system.
I recommend using ThermalTake's power supply calculator to run a better check of what you need.
It does a good job - http://www.thermalta...utervision.com/
