I recently purchased this board to run as my file server. I hooked it all up but I can't get any video out of the DVI port, I've tried 2 VGA-DVI adapters, a DVI cable and two monitors so I'm pretty sure it's the board. At this point I'm unsure if it's even posting. The NIC lights up and the fan turns on but no beeps or anything. I've also tried running the board with nothing but a video cable and power hooked up, no RAM or drives.

The other thing that it could be is that the store didn't have any DDR3-800 so I ended up with DDR3-1333 and assumed and was told it would down clock and work without issue. I don't think that's the problem and I hope it isn't since DDR3-800 seems to be getting rare.

Hey Leaks! Welcome to the Z-Spot forums!

It is odd how you're getting no video signal out of the DVI port. Have you tried using the HDMI output? If you do not have a HDMI cable, I suggest you locate a DVI to HDMI adapter (since you already have a DVI cable). If you get video out of the HDMI port, then I would try installing the OS of your choice, then installing the latest graphic drivers.

Click here for Windows 7 64-bit AMD Catalyst drivers.

Or

Click here to select the proper drivers for your preferred OS.

And to answer your memory question, I believe your DDR3-1333 memory should be able to work in the DDR3-800 slow on the M88G-ITX. It should down clock on it's own to run at a lower speed.

If my advice does not solve your issue, then I would contact ZOTAC's customer support at support@zotacusa.com and explain to them what the problem is. Best of luck with your build!
