I want to buy a new pc for replacing the desktop i have. I have few external hard drives that are only usb powered.

I have "western digital- my passport" usb hard drive, will this work with zotac pc; specifically "zbox-ID80-PLUS-U"

can you attach a usb external hard drive which is only powered by usb to zotac, or you can only install usb which also powered by separate power source?

will the zotac pc able to power an external usb hard drive?

Hi rwin,

The Western Digital My Passport external hard drive is a "portable" external hard drive. Therefore, it is based on a 2.5" notebook hard drive disk, and not a standard 3.5" hard drive. 2.5" notebook hard drives consume less power than the latter, so your USB powered externals should be operational on the Z-BOX.
