Hello!

Just decided to report here how this board performs with overclocking.

I have to say I was really disappointed with settings available but beggars cannot be choosers right?

Anyway system:
  • Zotac Z68-ITX WiFi
  • Intel Core i7-2600k
  • 8GB G.skill Ripjaws-X DDR3-1600MHz CL9
  • Asus GTX 560 Ti TOP
  • Corsair HX650W
  • Antec Kühler H2O 620
  • Corsair Force GT 120GB
  • 2x Samsung F4 2TB
  • Aerocool FP-01
  • Lian PC-Q08B
  • Scythe Gentletyphoon AP-15 1850rpm
  • Bitfenix Spectre Pro 140mm 1300rpm

System picture

Settings from bios:
X-Settings:
CPU vcore: auto (+0.00)
DDR voltage: 1.55v
PLC voltage: auto

Enable Intel Speedstep: yes
Enable Intel Turboboost: yes
Turboboost multiplier: 43x
Base clock: 10025 (to set baseclock ~100.00MHz instead 98.78MHz)
IA Core limit: 120
CPU TPD limit: 180
Enable short turboboost TPD: no

CPU specific settings:
Enable HyperThreading: yes
Enable Virtualisation: yes
Enable stop bit: yes
Enable CPU ID limit: yes
Power efficiency: custom
C3 state: disabled
C6 state: disabled

System cooling setup:
Antec cooler is set up to roof, where GT 1850rpm is pulling air outside the case and pushing trough the radiator inside the case. The front fan (Bitfenix) is blowing outside the case to get the hot air outside the case. (GPU + CPU hot air).

The radiator's intake/output and hdd area temperatures are measured realtime by Aerocool FP-01 panel.

2600k @ 4300,86MHz 1.366 vcore
Full CPU load (Intel Burn Test standard, 800 runs)
Radiator Intake air: 19C
Radiator Output air: 35C
HDD area temp: 30C

Cores: 78/76/76/74
CPU package: 78C

Idle
Radiator Intake air: 19C
Radiator Ouput air: 23C
HDD area temp: 22C

Cores: 33/32/32/30
CPU package: 35C

DirectX 11 Game (Alien vs Predator @ all max @ 2560x1440)
GPU: 76C @ 1860rpm (constant rpm)

GPU idle:
27C @ 1860rpm (constant rpm)

About installation of the 620.

You can only install this cooler oneway, which is the tubes must be next to the motherboard. Luckily Zotac Z68 fits like a glove, not pushing any component, blocking any port or anything. Like made for this case and motherboad. You get a complication if you would try fit new Asus Z77 ITX board with this setup so thats why I chose older Z68 Zotac board.

Behind the PSU, tight fit

Hey FireFlower!

What an impressive overclock, and an impressive hardware list. Also, with Lian Li case, it makes everything a precise and tight fit. I'm surprised your temperatures are so low! I have a couple of questions though- is your memory overclocked as well? How do you like the Antec Kuhler 620?

Sadly memory is not overclocked because BIOS doesn't allow it (Super Overclock rules!). Well atleast you can load XMP profile from modules and use them so currently using DDR3-1600MHZ-CL7 XMP profile (CL9 without XMP profile).

Antec Kuhler 620 is great product but wished aluminium radiator to be copper one because it is not able to give away heat faster resulting max overclock for 24/7 use 4.2 - 4.5GHz depending on stone.

For summer I had to decrease overclock to 4.0GHz because room tempature hit 32 Celsius degrees but now with winter back to 4.3GHz.
I think I could push this stone further but overclock settings of this board are really limited.

Ps. Sorry the answer took a long time because I don't get emails when somebody replies here. Anyway also upgraded GPU a little bit (GTX 580) and got thiskind Windows Experience Index point ;)

Sounds like you should try fitting in a H100 in that case :)

Well I could fit it outside the case but it wouldn't anymore be compact... Or remove fan control and make another 120mm fan slot on top. Could put that in Bitfenix Prodigy case but that case is about twice the size of Lian Li and wouldn't anymore serve it's purpose. Currently the case weights only 7 - 10 pounds

I used to own H100 and E-ATX case but got rid of them... the unit was about 50 - 60 pounds heavy and I visit lans pretty often so had to get a smaller one. Well here are a few pictures of that project when I was pushing Phenom X6 1090T around 4.2GHz (stone wouldn't go further no matter what settings you used... the wall was too high. Temps hitted that time for CPU only just 50 celcius (122 fahrenheit) around full stress test (GPU's + CPU under full load by F@H)
