i have a very annoying problem when i have 1 monitor plugged in via dvi the temps on my card are as normal which are 37c idle 75c load but when i plug a second monitor in weather it be through the second dvi port or the 1 hdmi port the card has, the temps shoot up to 65c idle and 93c load which is ridiculous, is there a fix for this as i have been forced to only use 1 monitor instead of 2 , would appreciate a fast reply thankyou

(could i need to update my cards bios maybe - would this fix it?)

You should update bios, and nvidia drivers there is a new version today. i read, that when u use dual monitor gpu goes from 2d mode (single monitor) to 3d low profile (in dual monitor) so gpu get stressed and overheat, i dunno if gtx 560 ti 448 have a bios update this can be fixed with that, and i found this solution too for you : I think. Turns out it was due to use of a dvi->hdmi cable on the main monitor. I wonder why that would cause such overheating. Switched to dvi, single and dual monitor setups now have same temps. this could be caused for a problem with bios cardīs. You can try this Guidetoo

good luck and sorry for my bad english its not my language, consult another card if have this problem and considerer RMA in that case

I will consult with an engineer with you about this issue - this is quite new to me on our video cards.

well my setup is as follows:
23inch lg 3d monitor (main monitor)
samsung 32 inch tv ( second screen hooked up so i can view movies and such on a the bigger tv

whenever i have both of the monitors plugged in via any of the ports, ie display port - hdmi - dvi the temps go up 20 - 25c , i have done a bit of searching and i think it could be to do with the bios or maybe a bad card, my friend has the same card a zotac 560ti 448 and his temps are fine with 2 monitors plugged in, i think it also maybe to do with the graphics card staying in 3d mode when it should really be down-clocking to 2d mode, i really want this sorting as i have to keep on plugging in and out my monitors depending on which 1 i want to use :( is there any more development on this matter?

my part number is 299-2N207-001ZT

Hi oggy1989,

Can you also provide the Model Number? It starts with ZT. Should look like this: ZT-xxxxx-xxx.

Thanks
