I'm considering purchasing one of the new ZBOXs that were recently released (ID80, ID81, AD04). However, after looking at the specs for each of them, I don't fully understand the functional differences between them. They actually seem quite similar to me, aside from the different processors and memory types that each motherboard is compatible with. Obviously there are some major differences that I'm not seeing because ZOTAC has seen fit to give customers the option to choose between the three. Since I don't understand who each model is marketed towards, I'm not sure where I fit in. I'm hoping someone will take the time to clear this up for me so I can make an informed decision.

Thanks.

The main difference in the model names are the CPU's used. AP04 uses AMD CPU and chipset while the ID80/ID81 are both using an Intel CPU and chipset.

Thanks for the reply, supaahiro. That makes it pretty easy, I suppose. Assuming I don't really have a preference between AMD or Intel, even though most people do, then it really doesn't matter which one I get?

I figured one was meant for high-performance gaming, while another is strictly video streaming, and the last one maybe the "value" or eco-friendly model. Or some other way of defining each into a category. I do tend to overthink things though.

Thanks for your input!
