we must not abuse about lawsuit, lawsuit its the only tool we have to fight for our right, don t abuse without sense, we need to get working gpu we bought. we MUST USE IT (lawsuit) against zotac, and their customer staff, dont abuse of this tool because will loose force and power. good luck.

PS u know that they will not offer u a way to fix, they are working since 5 months and still nothing, and probably we will never get something because they dont care us, so WE MUST DO SOMETHING, and nothing more

There is a recent complaint from me you can find on there. I e-mailed them per her instructions nearly a month ago. And NOTHING.

Dear nut. I have used the new nvidia drivers that are offical relase and have have had no problems with triangles or othere texture courrption as of yet. it does say in the nivida drivers that there was problems with BF3 and 1 gb video cards useing ultra settings.
so looks like a driver problem with bf3.

Fuck these guys. I just received my gaming PC a few days ago. I'm going to RMA my Zotac cards and get EVGA cards based on recommendations. Sounds like this company is a mess, and I'll never, ever buy anything from them again.

I purchased 2 x GTX 580's ( 3GB ) 50103-10P for my new gaming system. I had the same issues as most of the complaints here on the forums that other users have mentioned , DX11 games having a black screen crash, fan speed not going any higher than 85%, etc..

What I did to rectify the issues.

Install MSI Afterburner - upped the voltage on both cards to 1.063mv ( This fixed ALL the crashing / Black screen / driver stopping / etc )
Install GPU-Z and save the BIOS to a file - Instructions can be found on the interent.
Install NiBiTor and open the bios file and change the maxium fan speed from 85% to 100% - Instructions can be found on the intenet
Make a boot USB stick and put NVFLASH with the modified BIOS on the stick. - Instructions can be found on the intenet
Boot to the USB stick, Run NVFLASH and make a copy of the BIOS. ( Nvflash -b Backup.rom ) - Instructions can be found on the intenet
Turn BIOS protection off ( Nvflash --protectoff )
Update the BIOS with the new modified one ( NVFLASH -4 -5 -6 NewBIOS.ROM )
Reboot.

Since then I have not had an issue with crashes, My cards can ramp up to 100% fan speed ( Who cares about the noise .. I wear headphones for gaming ).

I'm not saying that Zotac is not responsable for the BIOS updates ( They are and shame on them for not updating or providing some solutions ) .. what I am saying is that why wait.. the technology and How To's are all over the internet and the tools to modify are free. MSI Afterburner has been a staple in my install prossess of a new machine or old machine that has an Nvidia card, regardless or manufacturer.

Bottom line.. I'll update my BIOS when and IF ZOTAC updates their BIOS... but until then.. I want my system to work they way it's suppose to .. fast, cool and crash free.

System Specs
Intel 3960X 3.3Ghz ( Overclocked to 4.5 )
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
32 GB Corsair Domminator GT 2133Mhz
2X Zotac GTX 580 ( 3 GB ) SLI
3 x Patriot Pyro 120 GB SSD's ( 2 in Raid0 on 6GB SATA Channel )
1 Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
1 Thermaltake TP-1500M Power Supply.
Coolmaster HAF X Full tower Case

I believe our 580 bios release works, the issue in this thread is the 560 series!

Fair enough... however regardless of the series, the process is the same. Up the voltage and unlock the fan.

That's exactly what I did, except, NiBiTor seemed to fix the voltage for me. The fan also worked, once I was able to get it to actually clock up when the temperature increased.

I have to say I'm a little puzzled at all the issues ppl seem to be having. I have a 560 TI AMP in my newly built game rig, and I was able to play completely through the BF3 campaign on ultra settings. My card was bought in January, has not had a BIOS update and was using the 285.62 WHQL Forceware for the entire playthrough. I did have a couple of crashes while playing, but I am confident it was more due to my attempts to O/C my processor than any problem with my video card, or driver, or BIOS...

That said, I have noticed some very loud capacitor noise from this card. I've heard it playing games, but it is much louder in specific situations, like when the card is tested for WEI for example. In those particular D3D tests, the caps are louder and more varied then any cap noise I've ever heard before, including failed PSU capacitors. From what I've read so far, I can only hope I will not have as bad a Warranty experience as some others have reported, when the time finally comes. Hansel, the Zotac support person I have consulted with on the issue, wasn't able to provide any real help for the issue, but didn't appear to be rude or incompetent, either.

Interestingly, this is also my first ever non-BFGTech video card. I picked Zotac for their similarites to BFG; Factory O/C'd cards, lifetime warranty and really sharp looking hardware. Hopefully they won't go tits up like BFG did, but Zotac is also not a one trick pony like BFG was. I picked this specific card based on it's reviews, the fact that a single 560 TI will outperform dual 550 TIs in SLI for approximately the same price, and it was the best price/mhz . Speaking of price, newegg's is better.

Overall, I really can't say I've been disappointed. Non-plussed yes, but not disappointed. Just my $0.02.

Edit: I also have a bottom mounted PSU which blows directly at the card. There are definitely no temperature or airflow issues.

Nice, can you provide the serial number for it like some others have been doing to see if it matched with any of the ones who did have the problem?

All of this helps Everyone here, and as well as zotac, since it specifies if you have problems with certain serials or not, just like any other company.

Glad you are happy with your purchase though!.

And I hope you dont run into any serious problems.

Have a good day!
Your #1 Zotac fan.
Will help if I can to any user on forums
Rep Points appreciated =)

Thankyou for choosing Zotac as your computer hardware Manufacturer.

Like n00b here I also did the manual bios fix on my 560Ti OC's. They both ran a bit hot (with the upper card much hotter than the lower card due to a 1/2 size TV tuner in the 3rd slot from the card. The 85% fan speed limit (or I think it is 75% on the 560ti) was just not enough to cut it.
Using GPU-Z and the like just like mentioned above I was able to easily unlock the fan and flash it back. The one problem that I have not dug into was making the auto fan profile ramp up above 75% in the bios. I may go back to revisit this as currently it still doesn't go above 75% on its own and in turn, gets way to hot by itself.

So using MSI Afterburner I built my own fan profile that ramps up smoothly anything past 75C and in turn, the cards never go above mid 80C when playing any game. That paired with a spotcool since I am running a fully loaded X48 chip and it would hit 80C+ causing various things to stop working at times, (Spotcool drops it down to mid 50C+) I now have a 100% hardware stable system. No voltage change was needed thus far and I have not touched the OC as my CPU (Q9550 @ 3.84ghz) is way more of a bottleneck for these cards than anything else sadly.

I will continue to tinker with the Bios one of these days and see if I can get the auto fan profile dialed in. Asside from that I just have little driver quirks with 3D Vision and other things tha you run into with new games.

I also tried underclocking the card and fooling around with the Bios. Everything is still getting way too hot here. Perhaps my fan profile is off.
