Well I'm on my third day now after downgrade to BIOS K110422 (Beta) and no problems whatsoever.

Have left machine on for 48 hours, slept, woken up manually, scheduled wake up, add / removed / changed keyboard / mouse / IR Remote / Storage all with no problems.

Will monitor for a week then report back.

Many thanks for this hint. I flashed the April BIOS yesterday and for now Standby/Wakeup on demand and from scheduled tasks works fine.
I am doing a heavy test with multipe switching today an will report here.

Looks like we pay more attention to the problem than Zotac. With this hints it must be possible to create a working BIOS and do not rest in beta state.

Greats ILAH

Sent a message to Technical Support:

Hi. Just thought I'd give you some feedback on your BIOS releases for the AD03.

The latest BIOS release 2K110603 (Beta2) causes a 4-beeps-of-death issue when you resume the device from sleep (either manually or scheduled).

Version 2K110422 (Beta) which you don't provide a link to anymore on your site has no issues what-so-ever.

I STRONGLY recommend you pull BIOS 2K110603 (Beta2) from your site IMMEDIATELY and re-post the link to 2K110422 (Beta) unless you want some very angry customers.

Thanks.

My box is working stable so far.

Have you tried to change BIOS settings (AHCI / LED light), and will it work?

Hi - yes I have changed some BIOS settings and they've stayed set no problems since the downgrade.

IDE mode is set to AHCI and LED Backlight disabled.

They're the only changes I've made.

I'm at the one-week mark now and everything is still going well.

BIOS version 2K110422 (Beta) FTW!

Quick update: Got a reply from Zotac Tech Support today advising they're testing to replicate the problem.
Hopefully they end up pulling links to the faulty BIOS release...

Well spotted!

Haven't received any comms from Zotac but it's good that there's a new BIOS.

System is stable atm so will only test this BIOS when another customer wants an HTPC.

At least I know I can recommend this system again which is good as it's the only one available that really does check all the boxes for a good HTPC.

Keen to hear how you get on.

Noticed that all other versions except initial release have been unlisted?

I suppose it's best we pretend that never happened :)

There's only one thing I'd love Zotac to do and that's add another USB port on the back.

That way I could have remote, TV Tuner and storage all connected out the back rather than having to have one on the front.

Can someone send me a full dump of their currently running bios on their ZBOX-AD03BR-PLUS-U? You can use the included BIOS update utility (ZT_eFUWIN) in Windows to save the running BIOS to a file. The BIOS provided by Zotac only programs certain blocks and I would like the full set of blocks since I think my BIOS is bad. Thanks in advance.
