Background: I am running XBMC 10.0 Beta 2 on Lucid 10.04.1 and ID11 with the latest Nvidia driver (260 something) conected to a Sony LCD-TV over a VGA Cabel.
Problem: The nvidia driver/card seems to be unable, to read the EDID Information of my television, which prevents me to choose the native resolution (1366x768) of my TV. Only 320x240 and 640x480 are available ...
Cause: It is quiete clear, that the DVI-to-VGA-Adapter cause the problem, since I can conect other laptops (nvidia/intel video card) directly over VGA to the TV and I am able to choose the nativ resolution.
(1) Would it help to buy another Adapter to solve this problem?
(2) Is there any option BIOS/xorg.conf which could solve this problem?
Thanks for any advice
