Hey,

just got a G43-ITX and equipped it with a Pentium Dual Core E6600 3,06 GHz and 2x2 GB Kingston Value Ram (KVR800D2N5K2/4G).
I installed Windows 7 Prof 64bit on a 320 GB WD3200BEVT.

My problem: No newer driver of the Intel GMA Graphics works than the one on the delivered CD.
I tried 15.17.1.64.2086, 15.13.6.64.1908.
Then the latest which came out 1 or 2 days ago (15.17.64.2086)

And 2 "olders": 15.15.6.64.1892 and 15.15.5.64.1883

As soon as it was installed, the screen went black and my TFT said "no signal".
The PC and Windows still run after it happens - after first thime this happened I installed VNC and it runs without any problems except I don't see a thing ;)
I tried DVI, I tried HDMI with another TFT - no chance.

Then I checked the CD and used the 15.15.3.64.1855 and it works.
But it has the "old" interface of the Intel "Control Center".

Any ideas? The PC isn't for me, and yes the old driver works, but I'd like to have the new one.

Thanks for support

Is there a driver update in Windows update?

Before installing the latest graphics drivers, you should first install the latest chipset drivers.

You should troubleshoot with only a single display connected.

Install the latest version of the graphics drivers using the have disk installation method.

Restart and access Windows advanced boot options by pressing F8 before Windows starts - select "Enable low resolution video (640 x 480)"

If you are able to get a display, change your resolution and refresh rate to ones supported by your monitor.

Chipset drivers are up to date, I've installed them first - sry for not mentioning.
The method with boot with low resolution doesnt work.

Normally only one display is connected, only for testing purposes I connected a second

I will try the "have disk method" tomorrow!

Thanks so far

"Good" to hear that I'm not alone

Tried the "Have disk" method now, same thing as before: black screen
Reboot -> "low resolution 640x480" -> black screen

It simply doesnt work.

Could start crying...

drunkaard, hope there will be a new bios soon. Also hope there will be a better possibility to change Vcore of CPU...

additional to my graphic card driver problem another one:
As mentioned in my first post I use "KVR800D2N5K2/4G" on the G43-ITX.

But it seems the RAM produces some trouble:
On the evening everythings ok, the board is running fine. I shut it down, power off.
Next morning, I power it on: No POST Beep, no signal says the TFT. LED on the board and the ventilator is running.

CMOS Clear, changed the RAM, changed the power supply: Same thing.
Ripped of everything, re-installed the CPU, same Kingston-RAM, same power supply - power on -> works.
Next time I wanted to boot, same error.

Same procedure as before, cmos clear, ripped everything off and so on.
Kingston-RAM: no Beep, no picture on the screen
some 667 MHz Corsair Value: Beep and picture

So I suspect the RAM for making me troubles. Will go on testing it and report.

Ok, to cut a long story short:
1. Does Zotac provide a list of fully supported RAM?
2. Will there be a Bios-Update with more configuration possibilites for CPU (Vcore minus and plus in little steps) and RAM (Timings, "Divider")?

Forget a thing: a boot menu would be perfect...

I'll 2nd that. Shouldn't have to dig into the BIOS to temporarily change the boot device.
