New ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition features simultaneous HDMI
audio and video output.
HONG KONG, China - Oct. 29, 2007- ZOTAC International (MCO) Ltd, a PC Partner Group company, today announced the latest addition to its DirectX 10-compatible graphics cards lineup based on NVIDIA's new GeForce 8800GT - the ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition.
The new ZOTAC graphics cards, based on the NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT graphics processor, delivers the latest technologies and blazing fast 3D performance.
New to the ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition is the first-ever
PCI Express 2.0 interface. The new PCI Express 2.0 interface delivers more
power and greater data throughput in new generation PCI Express 2.0 compatible
motherboards while maintaining backwards compatible with existing PCI Express
x16 motherboards.
The new PCI Express 2.0 interface sends data to the graphics card‘s 512MB
of GDDR3 video memory for smooth performance and realistic textures in current
and next-generation PC games. The 512MB of GDDR3 video memory communicates
with the graphics processor with its ultra-wide 256-bit memory interface.
ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT graphics cards feature 1800 MHz GDDR3 memory paired with
the NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT graphics processor. The ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT also
features a boosted core clock to 660 MHz, up from the NVIDIA specified 600
MHz for an added performance boost.
The ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition takes performance to unprecedented levels,
clocking the NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT graphics processor at 700 MHz. Faster 2000
MHz memory joins the boosted graphics processor for unparalleled levels of
graphics performance.
Compatibility with Microsoft's DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 ensures the
ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition are ready for next-generation
gaming titles. With NVIDIA Unified Shader Architecture, the GeForce 8800GT
features 112 stream processors for unparalleled 3D processing capabilities.
Backed by NVIDIA's Lumenex Engine, the ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 8800GT
AMP! Edition deliver true 128-bit floating point high dynamic range, or HDR,
lighting capabilities with up to 16x full-screen anti-aliasing.
“With the ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT series, we're able to deliver a product
that has the features of our high-end GeForce 8800GTX products while maintaining
a single-slot form factor as our GeForce 8600GTS products,” said Carsten
Berger, Marketing Director, ZOTAC International (MCO) Ltd. “The low price
point also makes the new GeForce 8800GT series the best bang-for-your-buck
in its class.”
Second-generation NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology with HDCP compliance delivers
the ultimate high-definition video viewing experience to the ZOTAC GeForce
8800GT and GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition.
With hardware decoding for Blu-ray and HD DVD formats, PureVideo HD technology
lowers CPU utilization when watching high-definition video formats by decoding
the entire video stream in the graphics processor, freeing up the processor
for other tasks.
“As we enter a digital age where the PC becomes the central hub for multimedia
enjoyment, hardware decoding for high-definition video formats is a must have
feature in graphics cards,” said Mr. Berger. “Hardware decoding
allows the system to have free CPU cycles to accomplish other tasks such as
re-encoding a video for your portable media player or compile home movies while
you sit and enjoy a movie.”
In addition to low CPU utilization, PureVideo HD enhances standard definition
video content with de-interlacing and other post-processing algorithms to ensure
standard DVD movies look their best on the PC screen and high-definition television
sets.
High definition content protection, or HDCP, technology ensures a secure connection
between the ZOTAC GeForce 8800GT or GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition and an HDCP
capable monitor for viewing protected content such as high-definition Blu-ray
or HD DVD movies.
